Thinking Cap – Original Art

Thinking Cap began as a live painting to music with acrylic washes at artist Tina Newlove’s 2021 Stone & Sky artist residency on Pelee Island. Back in the studio it developed into an oil painting depicting a main figure on the right hand. Smaller groupings of figures meander around the background and foreground while a couple on the upper left hand side seem to be on a swing in a tree.

The title Thinking Cap comes from the main figure who is wearing a winged-type hat that holds some figures and relates to all the things and people in a day that we come across or need to take care of.
